Studio of Meaning
Path Cartography
Peace and love,
At Studio of Meaning, we are so excited to announce our path cartography: a roadmap for all our subscribers to explore the various tiers and content we offer.
We have divided these tiers into three, as follows:
Taste : Dhawq
Public access
Intention : Himma
Free subscribers
Self-Realization : Taḥqīq
Paid subscribers
We have opted for these terms: dhawq, himma and taḥqīq because they embody the principles of Sufism and metaphysics found in Ibn ʿArabi’s teachings.
For all public visitors who encounter our Substack page, they will be able to have a dhawq (spiritual taste) of Ibn Arabi’s teachings through our notes, public essays, short video reflections and occasional teasers.
Those who have the intention to dive more deeply into Ibn ʿArabi’s teachings, they can become members with our free subscription and focus their himma through our weekly Akbarian Reflections: a series of longer reels on Ibn ʿArabi’s teachings and Akbarian Narratives: weekly short articles exploring Ibn ʿArabi’s creative etymology and mystical lexicon of the Arabic language; this in addition to all the content found in public access. Our free subscribers also gain access to two free PDFs: an English translation & transliteration of Ibn ʿArabi’s litanies and mawlid, celebration of the birth of the Prophet ﷺ.
As for those who feel a commitment to have a life long journey of taḥqīq (self-realization) with Ibn ʿArabi, our paid subscription is the ideal companion, offering everything in the previous two tiers plus more in depth weekly essays; Sound Openings: a bi-monthly lecture podcast on Ibn ʿArabi’s life and teachings; Nightly Unveilings: a weekly in depth class on Ibn ʿArabi’s seminal work Bezels of Wisdom with meditative exercises; Translation Series: quarterly published translations and commentaries of Ibn ʿArabi’s original works; Art of Ibn Arabi: a limited 19 week series of diagrams from Ibn ʿArabi’s works with audio commentary and many other surprises.
We welcome you to join us on this wonderful journey with Ibn ʿArabi as we ascend to the summit of self-knowledge, where the siren song voices higher truth in a symphony universal to all hearts and minds.
However close you wish to be to the center of this circle of reality, there is always more space and time for you with us on this journey. It is as Ibn Arabi states:
I have shown you the way, so remember me in the presence of your Lord
